Now look carefully....do you recognise anyone in the photo??

Third row...third picture along?? Yes its ME! ( Just DON'T look at how bad those roots are!! ) I am so excited to have been invited to join the team!

I'm looking forward to getting to know the rest of my new team mates. Do check out their blogs....

Where were you.....

...eight years ago today, Tuesday 11th September 2001?
Growing up I remember my parents talking about "where they were" when significant events happened in the world and how they would never forget. For me this was one of "those" moments.

My husband was getting ready to head off to work for a late shift and I was going to visit my friend Juli, when we heard reports coming through on the lunchtime news that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. We'd been in New York and visited the WTC the year before and couldn't understand why a plane would have crashed into a building that is surrounded by water. Then we learned of the second plane and it sunk in that this was perhaps not an accident afterall.

Juli and I spent the afternoon glued to the television, with the babies, then 3 months old, wondering what would happen next. London was not a place we felt too happy to be.

Eight years on events still feel as unbelieveable as they did that day.
